Our Tenant Organizing Fundamentals & Basebuilding Intensive training is a hands-on, in-person intensive designed for tenants who are ready to build real power where they live—starting with their relationships and their stories. In this training, we’ll dig deep into the foundational skills every tenant organizer needs to move from one-on-one conversations to collective action.

Together, we’ll cover:

• The basics of grassroots tenant organizing, rooted in shared self-interest and community care

• How to build relationships with neighbors that lead to action

• What it takes to start basebuilding in your building, block, or city

• Tools and practice for having powerful organizing conversations and mapping your building or complex

• Visit a local complex and put to work what we’ve learned because practice builds power

This is more than a training—it’s a space to connect with other tenant leaders across South Carolina who are doing the same work in their buildings and neighborhoods. You’ll leave with practical tools, new relationships, and the confidence to take your next steps in building a tenant union.
